Musk expressed dissatisfaction with the slow progress in the reform discussions within the Security Council, where India, as a strong contender for permanent membership, faces challenges. Currently, the UNSC has five permanent members and ten non-permanent members, elected every two years by the UN General Assembly. Musk highlighted the discrepancy between India’s significant global population and its absence from a permanent seat on the Security Council, terming it as unjust.
