In the midst of the diplomatic spat with Canada, Mr. Jaishankar recently visited in Washington with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The Indian and American governments now view each other as “desirable, ideal, and comfortable partners,” according to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who stated today that it is impossible to set boundaries on the bilateral relationship.
Mr. Jaishankar said, “I am frequently asked, where do you think this relationship (India-US) is going…now it’s hard for me today, really, to put a limit on it, to define it, to even voice expectations, because in every way this relationship has exceeded expectations, which is why today we don’t even try to define it. In fact, we continually raise the bar.
